Safety
Private by design. Here's the proof.
Each section names the part of SportsTabi that does the work. If a rule is only something we designed with in mind, the section says so.
Look closer
Each section is something already in SportsTabi, or it is marked when it is not.
No ads. No ad trackers. We don't sell your family's information. The app does not include an ad package or an analytics package.
SportsTabi tracks fees. It never takes your card, and it does not store a card number.
We don't put a child's full last name on the team roster. The public team page does not show the roster, birth dates, or street addresses.
We designed this with SafeSport's athlete-protection rules in mind. The source says: "'Open and Transparent' means that the Adult Participant copies or includes the Minor Athlete's parent/guardian, another adult family member of the Minor Athlete, or another Adult Participant on every communication."
The same source says: "Only platforms that allow for Open and Transparent communication may be used to communicate with Minor Athletes." Those sentences are what we designed the direct-message copy with in mind. They are not a claim that a club meets the policy by using SportsTabi.
In the app, an adult's direct message to a minor copies every linked parent. A minor is under 18, or has no birthday stored. If no parent is linked, the private thread does not start. One parent can leave. The last parent stays. Team chat does not add parents. Group threads do not add parents. We do not claim team chat meets the handbook line below.
USA Hockey's 2025 SafeSport handbook says: "When an Adult Participant communicates electronically to more than one Minor Athlete (or the team), said Adult Participant must copy another Adult Participant or at least one parent/guardian of each Minor Athlete."
SportsTabi does not add a parent to team chat, and it does not add a parent to a group thread. So for team chat, SportsTabi does not do what this line asks. The parent copy happens only in direct messages. No outside group has reviewed SportsTabi against that line, and we make no claim that team chat meets it.
Direct messages are the place the copy happens. Copied parents are on the thread inside the app. They are not emailed or pushed because of the copy.
A player is a minor for messaging and for Ask Tabi when the birthday says under 18, or when no birthday is stored. A stored birthday of 18 or older is not treated as a minor for that copy.
There is no public player profile for a minor. The team roster shows a first name and last initial.
A social handle is stored only for ages 13 through 17, and only when a linked parent allows it.
An organization admin can record a level and the dates it covers. Levels are no contact, hide the schedule, unlink, or suspend.
The level applies while today's date falls inside those dates. A row with no level, or with no dates, does not apply.
The court paper is not stored. Neither is an incident story. The record is a short case reference, the level, and the dates.
Team tables use row-level security. A person in one organization does not get another organization's team rows from those tables.
Selected security events are written to a log. The log is not a list of emails, phones, or birthdays.
Players under 18 get saved answers only. Ask Tabi does not open a model chat for them. A missing birthday is treated as under 18.
Those saved answers point at the schedule, messages, and the team. They are not an open conversation.
This page does not say a model is on for every adult. If it is off, the reply stays short.
A personal link that used to publish one member's schedule is switched off. The route does not look up a token and hand out that schedule.
The public team page remains. It shows the public schedule and leaves off street addresses, results, and the roster.
There is no button on this site to turn a personal calendar link back on.
Parent-created accounts for kids under 13 are not in the app yet. Staff can still add the player the team uses.
We designed with children's privacy law in mind. That is not a claim that an outside body has reviewed SportsTabi.
A linked parent can download a child's information. The file is the download. It is not emailed.
Cybersecurity provided by Cyber Eye Industries (CEI), a Virginia company providing cyber policy and security services. CEI is owned by SportsTabi's founder.
SportsTabi LLC (Virginia) operates the app. No government agency endorses SportsTabi.
SportsTabi is not affiliated with or endorsed by USA Hockey or the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
A picture of the idea
The names in the picture are made up. Nothing here is a real family.
Questions
No. No app is placed on an FTC list of that kind, and we don't claim to be. We designed with children's privacy law in mind, and parent-created accounts for kids under 13 are coming soon.
Teammates see the schedule and a first name with a last initial. Birth dates stay with linked parents, the player's own login, the team manager, and the organization admin. The public page leaves the roster off.
No. We designed direct messages with SafeSport's athlete-protection rules in mind. Your club remains responsible. No government agency endorses SportsTabi. Team chat does not copy parents.
Cybersecurity provided by Cyber Eye Industries (CEI), a Virginia company providing cyber policy and security services. CEI is owned by SportsTabi's founder. SportsTabi LLC (Virginia) operates the app.
They are copied on adult-to-minor direct messages. They are not added to team chat or to group threads. If no parent is linked, the private thread does not start.
The footer link opens the U.S. Center for SafeSport in a new tab. SportsTabi does not keep a copy of what you report there.
When you are ready
Use a team invitation if you have one. A team that is not on SportsTabi yet can write to sales@sportstabi.com. Support is support@sportstabi.com.

- Those quotes are what we designed with in mind. Using SportsTabi does not by itself make a club meet them.
