SportsTabi User Agreement (Terms of Use).

1. Who we are
SportsTabi is provided by SportsTabi LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("SportsTabi"). Using it means you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
Adults 18+ own accounts; 13–17 with a linked parent who also accepts; under-13 only after form 01. [LAWYER REVIEW: minors may disaffirm contracts in most states; parent co-acceptance helps but does not make terms binding on the child everywhere.]
3. Account security
Keep passwords private; MFA required for staff/admins.
4. Club responsibility
The club controls rosters and membership and is responsible for USA Hockey and SafeSport/MAAPP compliance; SportsTabi is a tool and certifies nothing.
5. Payments and renewal
SportsTabi tracks dues; it never processes family–club payments. Club subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled online in Settings; key terms shown before purchase.
6. Conduct
No bullying, harassment, threats, sexual content, hate, doxxing, impersonation or security attacks; no private adult–minor contact.
7. Messaging safety
Messages involving minors are scanned and may be shown to parents and club safety admins (form 02).
8. Tabi and Ask Tabi
Scripted Tabi gives tips. Ask Tabi is AI, can be wrong, and is not medical, legal, safety or rules advice. Off for under-18s until a parent turns it on (form 05). Ask Tabi tells users it is AI.
9. Calendar links
Links include rink addresses and notes; treat them like a key; reset any time.
10. Your content
You own it; you license SportsTabi to host and show it to your team to run the service. DMCA policy applies.
11. Ending
Delete your account in Settings (deletion, not just deactivation). We may suspend accounts that endanger kids.
12. Disclaimers
SportsTabi is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it is error-free or that safety detection catches everything. Nothing here disclaims our privacy, security or COPPA duties described in the Privacy Policy. [LAWYER REVIEW]
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, SportsTabi isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is capped at the greater of fees paid in the prior 12 months or $100. Does not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, personal injury where a cap is barred, or rights that can't be limited (including COPPA and state privacy rights). [LAWYER REVIEW]
14. Indemnity
Adult users and clubs agree to cover SportsTabi's costs from claims caused by their content, their breach of these terms, or (for clubs) their roster data and compliance duties. Minors do not indemnify. [LAWYER REVIEW: parental indemnity for a child's claims is void in some states.]
15. Arbitration and class waiver
Disputes are resolved by individual binding arbitration under the FAA (AAA Consumer Rules), no class or collective actions. Carve-outs: (a) small-claims court for eligible individual claims; (b) IP and injunctive relief for misuse; (c) claims by or for a minor may be brought in court unless the minor, on reaching majority or through a court-approved guardian, agrees — or counsel decides otherwise; (d) 30-day opt-out by email; (e) public injunctive relief not waived where state law bars waiver. 16. Governing law
Virginia law, except where your state's consumer or privacy law gives you more protection. [LAWYER REVIEW]
17. Severability
If any part is unenforceable, it's limited to the minimum extent and the rest stays; if the class waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not class arbitration.
18. Changes
In-app notice before material changes; changes to children's data use need new parent consent; arbitration changes don't apply to pending disputes.
19. Privacy wins
If these terms conflict with the Privacy Policy or any consent form, the more protective privacy term controls.
